I applaud your decision. Tomorrow I would’ve gone to buy some comics, but I think I’ll hold off on buying anything DC until September when we get final confirmation on what the hell is going on in the Batgirl series.  Well, everything except for Gates of Gotham and only because it HAS what appears to be an in-character Cass, which is extremely rare and needs all the support it can get. But trust me, even then, I’m cringing, cuz I don’t know if its worth it.  But come September, if there are signs we won’t get our differently abled Oracle back, then…fuck it. I’m keeping my money. I don’t care how great the other series are.  If my friend doesn’t get to keep her favorite heroine, a character who represents her in comics, why should I continue to support a company that ignores her?  

I left comics when Cass was ruined in OYL…came back when they finally made her a hero again, (also helped that there was finally a Mexican-American hero in Blue Beetle). That’s all I was buying for months.  But I stopped when that demented mini came out. She disappeared again after that.  Sure life happened, but there wasn’t much that attracted my attention, until now.  She’s back as BlackBat and I’m back to buying comics.  But jimeny cricket! It’s not even a month later, DC’s pulling the rug under my feet again. Wth? Fuck this shit. I’m so done with it.  I’ll make my own much less offensive entertainment, thank you very much. 

This may sound messed up but I do want Babs back in a wheelchair. She shouldn’t be defined by her physical abilities anymore. If DC can’t get that, then they don’t get my money either. I wish other people would get that.  The least they could do is NOT buy the Batgirl #1 if Babs is made Batgirl again. Silver age and NEW readers will already be buying it, cuz a)they’r assholes, or b) they really don’t know any better.  

If people do know better, why the fuck would they support that book? Cuz they’re curious? cuz their desire for entertainment is greater than their sense of decency?  Cuz in their abled privilege, they don’t give a damn? Ugh, no. Fuck these people.  

You keep doing what you’re doing Girl, leave DC when Babs becomes Batgirl and don’t look back. If people unfollow you or whatever cuz of that, FUCK’EM. They ain’t worth a second thought.
